Openwork Cholla Cactus Scarf

Downloadable Tutorial

The luxurious weight and drape of this textile result from a perfect combination of fine merino wool and silk fibers. The opening of the fabric creates a lofty wearable piece that holds a sculptural form and dimension while on the body. It is the perfect scarf for any season.

Creative felters will quickly see applications for applying this technique to many types of work.

Level: intermediate to advanced

This is a downloadable tutorial that does not ship with materials. Materials:

  • Fine merino wool (16µ to 18µ) 2.5-3 ounces
